I was at the doctor's office yesterday (follow up for a wrist problem that is cured - no biggie) and very irritated because I had been there for approximately an hour and twenty minutes. As I waited in line to check out I noticed the waiting room was almost empty except for a mother, father and their little girl who was probably about 3. She sat on her mom's lap. And in her cute little girl voice that just makes you smile to hear it she asked of her mom, "Why do you like me?" Mom's answer was "Because you're my little girl and I love you". I smiled. The sweetness between mother and daughter made my day. Even though it wasn't my own personal encounter, it made me happy. Its good to see families that love each other, all too often we hear about the opposite. I found myself hoping that someday my sweet little girl will ask the same question. Its a question I can't wait to answer. I don't know how I will ever narrow down all the reasons I like her.
Today's happiness comes from having a clean bathroom. Laugh if you want, but its true...haha. My mother spent the afternoon entertaining my little Sophie so I could ready for a get together I am hosting tomorrow evening. I prepped food and cleaned. But, I am mostly happy because I have a clean bathroom. I really try and clean it once a week, but all too often I find that it goes a bit longer. Ugh! I makes me laugh that it is such a terrible chore that I put it off so often. Especially when it feels so good to have it done. Happiness is a clean bathroom. Ha, think that quote will ever catch on? I doubt it but I think its something everyone feels, even if they don't tell you. : )
